The Stanford Chamber Chorale joins forces with the St. Lawrence String Quartet and the Rolston String Quartet, under the baton of Stephen M. Sano, in a concert showcasing choral repertoire of the Baroque era. The program features Handel’s dramatic and highly virtuosic setting of Psalm 110, Dixit Dominus, and J.S. Bach’s delightful wedding cantata, Der Herr denket an uns (BWV 196). Two festive motets by Johann Sebastian’s cousin, Johann Michael, and Handel’s vivacious Concerto Grosso in D Major, Op. 6, No. 5, round out the program.
